The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is comprised of four Divisions.
Bibb Sheriff’s Office is comprised of four divisions. The Sheriff’s Office provides full services to the Macon-Bibb County community. Our Divisions consist of Support Operations, Special Operations, Law Enforcement and Administration.
Comprising of five districts, a sheriff’s response team and more, the Law Enforcement Unit keeps us safe.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Patrol has the responsibility to protect the lives and property of the residents of Bibb County and all visitors within the jurisdiction of Bibb County.
The Bibb County Corrections Unit currently houses over 900 inmates. The Bibb County Detention Center is a Work Release and Community Service Center.
Consisting of several departments, Criminal Investigations handles everything from the Gang Unit to Special Investigations.
Champs, Crimestoppers, and Neighborhood Watch are just a few of the Sheriff’s Outreach programs.
The Support Operations Division is made up of Central Records, Crime Analysis, Backgrounds, Civil Process, Policy & Certification, Open Records, Polygraph and the Sex Offender Registry departments.
Processing crime scenes, which includes photographs, latent prints, blood splatter pattern analysis and the collection of other trace evidence.
