Bibb County Deputies and members of the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force (S.E.R.F.T.F) apprehended an arson suspect, wanted in connection to an attempt to set fires to a Jones County Deputy and Jasper County Investigator’s homes. The U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Jones County Sheriff’s Office received a tip that 31 year old James Randall Spensley was in a stolen, grey colored GMC Sierra.

Bibb Sheriff’s Deputies located the stolen vehicle, abandoned, on Lamar Road at around 5:30p.m., just south of Zebulon Road. The deputies communicated with S.E.R.F.T.F. members of their findings. Spensley was spotted by deputies, walking along Zebulon Road, headed towards the Interstate 475. Bibb County Sheriff’s deputies and members of S.E.R.F.T.F. took Spensley into custody.

Spensley was transported to the Jones County Sheriff’s Office.
