The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal traffic accident that occurred in the 6000 block of Hartley Bridge Road, just west of Sardis Church Road. The accident was called into the Macon-Bibb 911 Center at around 11:53 p.m.
It was reported that two motorcyclist were traveling west on Hartley Bridge Road. A pickup truck was traveling east. The driver of the pickup truck and the motorcyclists collided.
The two motorcyclist, 24-year-old Troy Michael Myrick and 22-year-old Blake Edward Heflin, both from Byron, died at the scene. According to Coroner Leon Jones, the next of kin has been notified. The driver of the pickup truck, 62-year-old Derrick Stephens, was not injured.
This accident is under investigation. Additional information will be released as soon as it becomes available.
