Bibb County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a traffic accident with serious injury just before 9:00 a.m. at I-75 south at Pio Nono Avenue. It was reported that a 1998 Ford F-150 driven by 36 yr. old Cornelius Epie of Austell,Ga was traveling on I-75 south at Pio Nono Avenue off ramp, when it went off the roadway. Cornelius was pronounced dead at the scene by Coroner Leon Jones. His wife 37 yr. old Cherry Epie and their three children ages 10 yr, 9 yr, and 2 yr old were transported to the Navicent Health Hospital where they are receiving treatment for their injuries. Their injuries are non-life threatening and they are listed in stable condition.
