Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies answered a call of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle in the 2200 block of Gray Highway near Graham Road, just before 9:00 p.m. Wednesday night. It was reported that a white Honda Pilot driven by 23 year old Megan Denman of Gray, was traveling northbound on Gray Highway. Denman did not see the pedestrian later identified as 61yr Frank Pittman Jr of Macon, crossing the roadway and struck him. Pittman was fatally wounded and was pronounced dead on scene by Coroner Leon Jones.
The accident is currently being investigated and no charges have been made at this time. Anyone with information about this accident is asked to contact the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500.
