On Saturday, September 24, 2016 the following roads will be effected by the Susan G. Komen Race For The Cure scheduled to start at 9:00 a.m. The race will start and end at the Hilton Garden Inn, located at 1220 Stadium Drive.
- The right lane of Forsyth Street into town will be blocked from Monroe Street to College Street for runners.
- No traffic will be allowed to turn onto Monroe Street or College Street from Forsyth Street.
- Oglethorpe Street will be blocked from the roundabout to Adams Street (any traffic that comes off College Street, from residences will only be allowed to go south on Oglethorpe Street towards the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center).
- Montpelier Avenue will be blocked at Carling Avenue.
- Winship Street will be blocked at Stadium Drive.
- Coleman Avenue will be blocked at Linden Avenue.
Deputies with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office and volunteers with Middle Georgia REACT will be along the route to assist motorist in these areas. The roads should be cleared by 11:00 a.m.
