On September 8, 2020, just after 10:00 p.m. Bibb County Sheriff’s Office patrol deputies were monitoring traffic on Interstate 475, southbound when they witnessed a vehicle traveling 99 miles per hour in a 70 mile per hour zone.
Deputies conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and made contact with the driver, 31-year-old Marquis Antonio Milton, of Tifton and passenger 24-year-old Isaiah Jamaal Vance, of Tifton. While talking to Milton deputies could smell a strong odor of Marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. Deputies searched the vehicle and located one handgun and several bags of Marijuana weighing in at six ounces.
Vance was transported to the Bibb County Jail and charged with Possession of Marijuana, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and Possession of a Firearm During Commission of a Felony. He has a bond of $5,700.00
Milton was transported to the Bibb County Jail and charged with Speeding, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and Possession of a Firearm During Commission of a Felony. Milton also had several warrants out of Tifton County. He is being held without bond at this time.
