On June 29, 2019, at 09:24 a.m. Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were patrolling the area of Radio Drive near Davis Street when they witnessed a Lincoln Continental fail to maintain its lane. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and made contact with the occupants, 52-year-old Richard Wayne Horton and 33-year-old Brittany Nicole Booth of Macon.

While approaching the vehicle the deputies noticed that both Horton and Booth were moving around and appeared to be trying to hide something in the vehicle. It was determined that Horton who was driving had a suspended license. Due to the actions of the occupants, the deputies had K9 Bella do a free air search around the vehicle and she alerted on the vehicle.

When deputies searched the vehicle they located 4.4grhams of Methamphetamines and a pill bottle with three Xanax in it.

Horton was taken to the Bibb County Jail and charged with Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance. He was released on June 30, 2019, on an $8,450.00 bond.

Booth was taken to the Bibb County Jail and charged with Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance. She is being held on an $8,450.00 bond at this time.
