On July 4, 2019, at 12:20 a.m. Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were patrolling the area of Forest Hill Road and Ridge Avenue when they witnessed a male subject walking towards the Saint Francis Episcopal Church. The subject was carrying a large bag and went into the parking lot of the church near the sanctuary. 

Deputies made contact with the subject, identified as 36-year-old Joshua Goldberg of Macon. When deputies began asking him why he was at the church so late they noticed that his hands were shaking and he voice was trembling. While talking deputies determined that Goldberg had a warrant for his arrest out of Clayton County Sheriff’s Office.

While checking Goldberg for contraband deputies located a small bag of Methamphetamine and several Hydrocodone pills in his bag along with hypodermis needles.

Goldberg was taken to the Bibb County Jail and charged with two counts of Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance. He is being held on a $16,900.00 at this time.
