Bibb Sheriff’s Investigators had warrants issued for the arrest of 27-year-old Randy Singleton Jr. in connection to a Homicide Investigation that took place at an apartment complex, located at 2800 Masseyville Road.

It was reported that at around 10:00 a.m. Sunday morning, a female by the name of Ashley Heberling, age 29,  was shot and was laying outside of her apartment.  Heberling later passed away at the Navicent hospital. The suspect, Randy Singleton Jr., fled the scene before deputies arrived.

Singleton turned himself over to investigators Sunday evening. Singleton was taken into custody and transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center after being interviewed. Singleton is currently being held without bond for the charge of Murder.

Asking for the Public’s Assistance in Locating a Suspect Wanted in Connection to the Homicide on Masseyville Road

Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in helping locate a suspect wanted in connection with the homicide that took place at the “Retreat at Ragan”, located at 2800 Masseyville Road.

Investigators are looking for the whereabouts of 27-year-old Randy Singleton Jr. He is described as a light skinned black male, approximately 5 feet 9 inches in height and ways approximately 140 lbs.

Homicide Investigation on Masseyville Road

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide that took place at the “Retreat at Ragan” apartments, located at 2800 Masseyville Road. The incident took place at around 10:00a.m., Sunday morning.

The Macon-Bibb 911 Center received a call that a female was found shot, in front of her apartment. The female , 29-year-old Ashley Herberling, was transported to the hospital where she later died. The circumstances surrounding the incident are still being investigated.  Additional information will be released as soon as it becomes available.

According to Coroner Leon Jones, the next of kin has been notified.
