On April 12, 2019 at 11:00pm while a deputy was checking the area of New Clinton Road and Derrell Drive area,he saw a black male shooting a gun into the air.
When the deputy made contact the suspect he dropped the gun and tried to walk off. The deputy was able to get the suspect to comply with his commands and placed him in handcuffs. The suspect was identified as 36 year-old Craig Legrego Sanford, of Macon. While detaining Sanford deputies could smell a strong odor of alcohol coming from Sanford.
Sanford was taken to the Bibb County Jail and charged with Disorderly Conduct and Discharging a Firearm While Under the Influence. Sanford was release on a $1,300.00 bond on April 13, 2019.
