A former Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputy was arrested Friday afternoon for the charges of Sexual Battery-misdemeanor and Battery-misdemeanor.

On February 11, 2018 at around 2:51 a.m., Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the Crazy Bull, located at 473 Second Street, in reference to a fight at the establishment. Complainants stated that an off-duty deputy, 33 year old Justin Michael Leese, inappropriately touched a female at the night club and later confronted the female’s boyfriend and struck the male several times with his fists.

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office of Professional Standards and Bibb County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigators were notified of the incident and began an investigation. Leese was immediately suspended, with pay, pending the investigation. After the investigation was completed, it was determined that there was enough evidence to obtain warrants for Leese’ s arrest.

On February 22, 2018, Deputy Justin Leese resigned from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

Leese turned himself over to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center on Friday, February 23, 2018 for the charges of Sexual Battery-misdemeanor & Battery-misdemeanor. Leese was released on a $3500 bond. He was bonded out on the special conditions of not having any contact with the victims or returning to the Crazy Bull property.
