The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal two car collision that occurred on the Sardis Church Road extension near Walden Road. The incident took place at 6:34 p.m. Tuesday night.
It was reported that a Nissan Altima driven by a male driver was traveling westbound on Sardis Church Road. It was reported that the Nissan Altima crossed over the median into the eastbound lane striking a Chevrolet Camaro, head-on driven by a female driver.
Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene by the Coroner’s office. The name of the victims will be released once the next of kin have been notified.
This fatal collision still remains under investigation. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
