The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a traffic collision that occurred at 7:49 p.m., on June 10, 2021, in the 3200 block of Hamlin Road. It was reported that a Dodge Ram truck, driven by 50-year-old Bobby Hugh Mullis of Lizella, was traveling south on Hamlin Road when it went off the roadway and struck a tree. Mullis was transported to the Atrium Health Navicent for treatment.
Mullis was pronounced deceased at 9:13 p.m., on June 10, 2021, by Atrium Health Navicent personal due to injuries sustained in the collision. No one else was injured during the incident. The next of kin has been notified at this time per the Bibb County Coroner’s Office personnel.
