The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal traffic collision that occurred near the intersection of Fulton Mill Road and Dixon Road at 8:40 a.m.
It was reported that a 49-year-old male, of Lizella, was traveling north, in a Chevy Trail Blazer, on Fulton Mill Road near Dixon Road. A dump truck driven by a 59-year-old male, of Macon, was traveling south on Fulton Mill Road when it collided with the Chevy Trail Blazer. The Chevy Trail Blazer crossed the centerline before it was struck by the dump truck. The 49-year-old male was pronounced deceased on scene by the Bibb County Coroner’s Office. The next of kin has not been notified yet.
