The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal traffic accident, which occurred on Pio Nono Avenue near the Williamson Rd. intersection. The accident hsppened, just before 03:00pm on Sunday.
It was reported that a Nissan Altima, driven by 59 yr. old Marcial Guardado of Macon, was traveling north bound on Pio Nono Ave when his vehicle crossed over into the south bound lanes of traffic. His vehicle struck another vehicle that was traveling south on Pio Nono Avenue. Guardado’s vehicle collided with a Toyota Camry that was driven by 69yr old Emory Easley of Macon.
Guardado was pronounced deceased on scene. Easley was transported to the Navicent Health Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased by hospital staff. According to the coroner, the next of kin has been notified.
