The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a commercial armed robbery that occurred just before 11:00 a.m. at the State Bank & Trust Company located at 1535 Bass Road. It was reported that the suspect, walked up to the teller, brandished a gun and demanding money. After the teller complied, the suspect walked out of the bank and was reported to have gotten into a late model 4 door ,Toyota Pickup Truck , possibly light brown. There is a bumper sticker on the driver-side back bumper and a tool box in the bed of the truck. It is unknown as to the direction of travel of the vehicle. No one was injured during the incident.
The suspect was described as being a white male. He was wearing dark shades, black mask and dark clothing. A picture of the vehicle is attached.
