On November 18, 2019, at approximately 4:00 p.m. search warrants were conducted at multiple addresses in Macon for the suspects identified in the two Commercial Armed Robberies.

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office deputies were able to identify the suspect by the store’s surveillance videos. Deputies searched an address in the 3800 block of Napier Avenue and two addresses in the 1000 block of Sylvian Drive.

Deputies arrested a 16-year-old male and his mother 37-year-old Quantisha Trinita Sanders, both of Macon, at the Napier Avenue address. Deputies arrested a 16-year-old male and his 27-year-old brother Onkendiah Rodney Hightower, both of Macon, at the Sylvian Drive address.

A large amount of money and the clothes the suspects were wearing were recovered during the searches. All subjects were taken to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigations for questioning.

Both 16-year-olds were taken to the Macon Regional Youth Detention Center and charged with two counts of Armed Robbery.

Hightower was taken to the Bibb County jail and charged with two counts Armed Robbery and one count of Obstruction of a Peace Officer. He is being held without bond at this time.

Sanders was taken to the Bibb County Jail and charged with Obstruction of a Peace Officer. She is being held on a $1,300.00 bond at this time.

Commercial Armed Robbery of Two Dollar Stores

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating two commercial armed robberies that took place between 10:45 a.m. and 11:08 a.m. located at 4996 Bloomfield Road Dollar General and 3567 Houston Avenue Family Dollar.

It was reported that two males entered the store brandishing firearms. They demanded money from the clerk. The suspects got an undisclosed amount of money at both locations and fled on foot before deputies arrived. No one was injured during these incidents.

The suspect was described as being around five foot eight inches tall and slender wearing all black with their faces covered. The incidents appear to be related due to the suspect descriptions matching.
