On August 12, 2019, just after 07:30 a.m. Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 5400 block of Hawkinsville Road in regards to items taken from a disabled vehicle.

Deputies made contact with the owner of a broken down Ford Focus around 03:30 a.m. on August 12, 2019. The owner said that she waited for assistance for several hours and while she was waiting, a black male on a bicycle kept riding by. The owner had to leave the vehicle and when she returned, she found the passenger window busted out.

Deputies recognized the description of the black male and the bicycle, and made contact with the suspect. When deputies made contact with the suspect, 33-year-old Broderick Javon Raines, of Macon, they found multiple items that were taken from the vehicle.

Raines was taken to the Bibb County Jail and charged with Entering Auto. He is being held on a $1,300.00 bond and also has a Probation Violation hold on him.
