Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call just before 4:30 a.m. of a person shot at the FairBridge Inn located at 105 Riverside Parkway. It was reported that the victim, 42 year old Christopher Blanson, had drove to the motel to meet a female. While waiting in his vehicle in the parking lot of the motel he was approached by the suspect described as a black male. There was an exchange of words between the suspect and Blanson. As Blanson was attempting to leave in his vehicle, the suspect fired several shots at Blanson’s vehicle, striking Blanson once, grazing him. Blanson drove to the Wathall Convenience Store at 3720 Riverside Drive to report the incident. He was checked out by paramedics at the scene but refused to be transported to the hospital.
