The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting incident that was reported to have occurred in the woods near the intersection of Harrison Road and Chambers Road at 10:40 a.m.
Deputies found 28-year-old Marques Jamaine Slocumb in the roadway with multiple gunshot wounds to the lower body. He was taken to the Navicent Health Medical Center and is listed in critical, but stable condition at this time.
It was reported that Slocumb was in his tent when an unknown suspect shot him and he crawled to the roadway. The suspect had already left the scene when Deputies arrived. There is no further information on the suspect at this time.
