The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a dead body found near Winship Street and Madden Ave just before 10:00 p.m Monday night. Deputies responded to the area in reference to a call from a passerby who found an unresponsive person lying in the roadway. Upon deputies arrival they found the body of a black female. The victim was pronounced deceased on the scene. It was later discovered by investigators that the victim had been shot. This case is now being investigated as a homicide. No other information is being released at the present time.
