The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance again in locating a person of interest in the January 20, 2020 murder of, 37-year-old Michael Alvin Lewis, of Macon.

Deputies are looking to question 27-year-old Quinterious Javon Byrd, of Macon. Byrd is known to frequent the East Macon area and has relatives in Monroe County.

Homicide Investigation in North Macon

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting that took place in front of 771 Oak Hill Court, in north Macon. The incident took place at around 9:30 p.m. Monday.

It was reported that a resident heard several shots fired outside of his home. The resident walked outside and found a male laying on the front lawn. The male was reported to have been shot several times.

Coroner Jones pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The victim was identified as 37-year-old Michael Alvin Lewis of Macon.

This incident is currently under investigation. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
