Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigations arrest an individual in connection to the May 7, 2021 Homicide of 26-year-old Amond Rashad Norwood.
interviewed 45-year-old Margaton Achilles Dudley at the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigation Division on Friday night. After the interview, Dudley was taken into custody and transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center. Dudley is in custody for the charges of Murder and Concealing Death of Another. Dudley does not have a bond. This investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are pending further investigation.

Homicide Investigation
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Homicide incident that was reported at around 9:30 a.m., Friday morning.
It was reported that a passerby was walking in the area of Churchill Street and discovered a body under a mattress. The area was covered with debris from illegal dumping. Investigators are following leads and believe that the homicide occurred at a different location. Additional information will be released as soon as it becomes available.
The victim was identified as 26-year-old Amond Rashad Norwood of Macon. Norwood was pronounced deceased on the scene by the Bibb County Coroner. The next of kin has been notified.
