Bibb County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested 40-year-old Zachary Sikes, of Macon in an unrelated incident. 

Sikes was arrested for a Criminal Trespass incident on November 27, 2020 that occurred in the 2400 block of Kingsley Drive. It was reported that Sikes was on the property of the homeowner without their permission. Sikes ran when confronted by the homeowner and was apprehended in the 2300 block of Kingsley Drive by deputies. 

Deputies were advised by investigators that Sikes had active warrants for the Robbery of Young’s Jewelry. Sikes was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center and charged with Criminal Trespass and Robbery. Sikes currently has a bond of $6,750.00 for Criminal Trespass. Sikes does not have a bond for Robbery.

Commercial Robbery Investigation

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a commercial robbery that took place just before 5:20 a.m. at  Young’s Jewelry, located at 3992 Northside Drive.

It was reported that a male was inside the store playing the gaming machines. After running out of money the male approach the clerk, threatened her and demanded money. After receiving an undisclosed amount of money, the male fled the store on foot. No one was injured during this incident.

The suspect is described as a white male wearing a black tee shirt and hoodie with army fatigue print pants.
