Bibb County Sheriff Deputies responded to 4315 Houston Ave in reference to a call of shots fired. When Deputies arrived on scene they were advised that two men were exchanging gunfire in front of this location at each other. A description of the vehicle that one of the subjects was driving was given. Deputies in the area observed the vehicle and attempted a traffic stop. The driver of the vehicle attempted to elude deputies but after a brief vehicle chase the suspect abandoned his vehicle and attempted to flee on foot in the area of Rocky Creek Road. While fleeing the male discharged his firearm in the direction of the Deputy.
The male was identified as 36yr old Deandre Williams of Macon. Williams was apprehended by deputies and taken into custody. The second male was identified as 17yr Dequavious Howard of Macon. Howard was identified as one of the subjects exchanging gunfire and was taken into custody near the scene. Both Howard and Williams was charged with Aggravated Assault. Both men were transported to the Bibb Law Enforcement Center.
