Bibb County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a Macon man in connection to the June 3, 2020, aggravated assault incident at 5600 Hawkinsville Road, Green Pine Acres Mobile Home Park.

On June 13, 2020, at 09:30 a.m. Bibb County Sheriff’s deputies were checking the wooded area near 5600 Hawkinsville Road when they located 45-year-old Michael Paul Williams, asleep in a maintenance shack belonging to Norfolk Southern Railroad. Williams was taken into custody without incident.

Williams was taken to the Bibb County Jail on the charge of Aggravated Assault, he also has a warrant for Burglary in an unrelated case. Williams is being held without bond at this time.

Aggravated Assault Incident on Hawkinsville Road

The Bibb Sheriff’s Office is investigating an Aggravated Assault incident that was reported to have occurred at 5600 Hawkinsville Road, Pine Acres Mobile Home Park, at 8:33 p.m.

It was reported that there was an altercation between multiple subjects. During the physical altercation, an unknown person pulled a gun and fired multiple shots. A 40-year-old male was struck in the abdomen during the incident. He was transported to the Navicent Health Medical Center and is listed in critical, but stable condition at this time. No one else was injured in the incident. There is no information on the suspect at this time.
