The Bibb Sheriff’s Office is investigating an Aggravated Assault incident that was reported to have occurred in the 2400 block of Treadway Drive, on March 31, 2021 at 5:40 p.m.
It was reported that a female was inside the residence with her family, when several shots were heard. The female discovered that she was struck in the hand and leg. The victim was transported to the Atrium Health Navicent and is listed in stable condition at this time. No one else was injured in the incident.
Witnesses stated the suspect that fired several shots at the home, and drove away in a white vehicle. No suspect description is available.
Investigators discovered that during this incident the victim’s son, 27-year-old Davontae Stubbs, fired shots back at the vehicle that was firing shots at the home. Stubbs’ gunfire struck two homes that were occupied at the time. No one was injured in this incident.
Stubbs was taken into custody and charged with four counts of reckless conduct.
