The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an Aggravated Assault incident that occurred at 2301 Houston Ave, Bowden Homes, just after 8:00p.m. Sunday night. It was reported that 43yr old Gary Webb of Macon was driving on Ceder Street when some juveniles threw rocks at his car. He pulled into the parking lot of Bowden Homes to confront the juveniles. It was reported that Webb was confronted by a group of males as he was attempting to locate the juveniles and their parents. It was also reported that Webb had chased the juveniles with a knife. There was a confrontation with the group of males and Webb was struck in the face and he began running away from the males. Webb heard a shot as he was running and was struck by the round. Webb went to the Navicent Hospital where he was treated and released. No one else was injured in the incident. Investigators questioned a person that was detained at the scene. It was discovered that the individual, 34 year old Gerrod Prater, had warrants for his arrest in Houston County. He was detained and picked up by Houston County Sheriff’s Office.
