Public’s Assistance Locating A Missing Person

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating the whereabouts of 56 year old Michael Spears. On March 10, 2016 a brother of Spears filed a missing persons report for his brother. According to Spears brother, he has not been seen since he was released from the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center on September 22, 2015.

Investigators with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office have been working on the case and have been in contact with family following up on any information received. Spears last known address was in Eastman Georgia. It was reported that Spear’s brother has also been in contact with the Eastman Police Department to check his address there. According to the brother, Spears is Schizophrenic. Both brothers of Spears feel that he is not missing, but may be in a mental health facility somewhere. Michael Spears is a black male. He is 5 feet 9 inches in height and weighs approximately 160 pounds. He has short graying hair, close cut beard and mustache. A photograph of Spears is attached.
