The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a stabbing that happened in the parking lot of 624 Forest Hill Road, Waverly Points Apartments, just after 2:00 p.m.
Deputies responded to 624 Forest Hill Road regarding a person stabbed. While deputies were en route, they were notified the victim, a 16-year-old male was transported by private vehicle to Piedmont North Hospital. The victim was later pronounced deceased by staff.
The incident happened during an altercation between multiple subjects in the parking lot. During the altercation the victim was stabbed in the chest. No one else was injured during the incident. The next of kin has been notified at this time per Deputy Coroner Luanne Stone.
Deputies were able to detain 17-year-old Zanaria Rshada. Rshada was taken to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigations for questioning. Rshada was later taken to the Bibb County jail and charged with Murder. She also has a warrant out of Lamar County and is being held without bond at this time.
