At 2:47 p.m., Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigators attempted to serve a warrant at a residence on Thomas Drive near its intersection with Ollie Drive. Sheriff’s investigators had warrants for individuals at the address.
Deputies attempted to make contact, but the individuals locked themselves inside the residence. After deputies entered the home to serve a search warrant, they discovered 46-year-old Sotero Colon, unresponsive, with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. There were no other injuries reported during the incident.
Investigators also served a warrant for 42-year-old Stephanie Nicole Ayala. She was taken into custody and transported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigations Office to be interviewed. She was then transported to the Bibb County jail where she is being held for the following charges: (1) count of Rape Party to a Crime, and (1) count of False Imprisonment. Ayala is being held without bond at this time.
