The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an aggravated assault that took place on Village Green Drive. The incident was called into the Macon-Bibb 911 Center at around 1:17p.m., Saturday.
It was reported that an unknown male approached 56-year-old Jeffery Giddens at his home and got into a verbal argument. The verbal argument became physical. During the physical altercation, Giddens was hit in the head with an unknown object. Giddens fell to the ground and the other male individual fled the area.
The Sheriff’s Office and E.M.S. were called to the scene. Giddens was transported to the hospital by ambulance. Giddens is currently listed to be in critical condition.
Investigators are working on identifying the other male individual that was involved in the altercation with Giddens. The circumstances surrounding this incident are under investigation. Additional information will be released as soon as it becomes available.
