The following roads will be affected and closed temporarily for the funeral procession of Gregg Allman on Saturday, June 3, 2017. The roads will be closed when the procession begins, following the service at Snows Memorial Chapel. The roads will reopen once the procession passes each intersection on its way to Rose Hill Cemetery. Cherry Street will be closed off in the designated area listed below beginning at 8:00 a.m. Saturday morning.
Cherry Street – First Street west to New Street
First Street – Cherry Street north to Riverside Drive.
Riverside Drive- First Street west to Orange Street
The funeral procession will travel from Snows Memorial Chapel on Cherry Street east to First Street, turn left and travel north on First Street to Riverside Drive, turn left on Riverside Drive and travel west to the 1000 block of Riverside Drive making a right into the entrance of Rose Hill Cemetery.
All media are requested to be in the staging area which will be in the parking lot next to Cokes Camera Shop at 735 Cherry Street (across from Snows Memorial Chapel). Media can enter the staging area from Mulberry Street onto New Street Lane which leads into the backside of the parking lot next to Cokes Camera. The funeral service and burial will be private.
