Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones received identification on the fatal collision victims.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office was notified by Coroner Jones that the victims in the October 2, 2022, fatal collision on I-475 southbound were identified. The driver was identified as 41-year-old Karen Gregory, and the passengers were her children, 19-year-old male Kyron Gregory, and 10-year-old female Yahvi Gregoryy of Jacksonville, Florida. The next of kin has been notified by Coroner Jones.

Fatal Traffic Collision on I-475 Southbound
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a traffic collision that occurred on I-475 southbound just south of the Thomaston Road bridge just after 2:00 p.m.
It was reported that a black Chevrolet SUV was traveling southbound on I-475 just past the Thomaston Road bridge when it went off the roadway and struck a tree. The vehicle then caught fire. There were three people in the vehicle. All three victims were pronounced deceased on the scene by Coroner Leon Jones. Investigators are still determining what caused the wreck. The identification of the victims is not known at this time. No one else was injured during the collision.
