Today at around 10:30 a.m. Sherod Ranardo Holston turned himself in at the Bibb County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Office. Investigators took Holston into custody. Holston had warrants for his arrest for the murder and armed robbery of Ulysses Pitts.
Holston was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Complex and booked on both charges. He was also charged with violation of probation. No bond has been set.
Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigators have identified two suspects wanted in connection with the homicide and armed robbery that occurred at 1074 McCall Road in east Macon on the morning of Wednesday, January 7, 2014.
Information and leads during the course of the investigation led investigators to the identity of the two suspects. They are Sherod Ranardo Holston, 24 years old of Macon and Antwan Denard Johnson, 25 years old of Macon. Warrants have been signed on both subjects for felony murder and armed robbery. During the incident an undisclosed amount of money was taken by the suspects.
Holston is a black male. Information from the Bibb County Jail File dated September of 2012 states that he is 5 feet 6 inches in height and weighs 140 pounds. The photograph of Holston shows him with a mustache, beard and a gold grill in his mouth. Johnson is a black male. Information from the Bibb County Jail File dated March of 2014 states that he is 5 feet 10 inches in height and weighs 170 pounds. Bibb County Sheriff David Davis said, “Our community can be grateful that Bibb Investigators have identified suspects within forty eight hours of this senseless crime. Robbing and murdering an individual in front of a ten year old and a thirteen year old only shows how merciless and ruthless these suspects are.”
