Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigators arrested an individual in connection with the death of the juvenile that occurred near the 4100 block of Pinson Street. The original call came into the Macon-Bibb County 911 Center at around 11:36a.m., Tuesday.
It was reported that a male juvenile, 15-year-old Ashton Roberts, was found deceased in a wooded area, near the 4100 block of Pinson Street. Investigators discovered that Roberts had been fatally wounded by gunfire.
Through the course of the investigation, Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigators identified 57-year-old Algie Frankar Bryant as the suspect in connection with Robert’s death. Bryant was transported to the Investigations Division to be interviewed. Afterwards, he was taken to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.
Algie Bryant is currently being held at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center, without bond, for the charges of Murder, (two counts) of Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of a Firearm During Commission of a Felony.
Roberts will be taken to the GBI Crime lab, so that an autopsy can be performed. According to Deputy Coroner Miley, the next of kin has been notified.

Death Investigation in the 4100 block of Pinson Street
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death that occurred near the 4100 block of Pinson Street. The call came into the Macon-Bibb County 911 Center at around 11:36 a.m., Tuesday.
It was reported that a male juvenile was found deceased in a wooded area, near the 4100 block of Pinson Street. Investigators discovered that the male had several gunshot wounds.
This investigation is in its preliminary stages. Additional information will be released as soon as it becomes available.
The name of the deceased will not be released until the next of kin has been notified.
The deceased will be taken to the GBI Crime lab, so that an autopsy can be performed.
