On Wednesday, Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigators arrested a suspect in the fatal shooting of 59-year-old Harriett Patrick. The original incident occurred on Eisenhower Parkway, October 20, 2021.

Upon further investigation, 30-year-old Quteavis Quayshon Simmons was identified as a possible suspect in connection with the Homicide.  Simmons met with investigators, on Wednesday, at the Bibb County Investigations Division to be interviewed.  After being interviewed, Simmons was taken into custody and  transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.

Simmons is currently being held, without bond, for the charge of Murder. Simmons also has an unrelated Bench Warrant in a previous Battery Family Violence case.

Homicide Investigation

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide that occurred on Eisenhower Parkway. The incident was reported to the Macon-Bibb 911 Center at 1:16 a.m. on October 10, 2021.

It was reported that 59-year-old Harriett Patrick, of Macon, was struck by gunfire in her vehicle, as she was traveling west on Eisenhower Parkway.

Patrick was transported to Atrium Health Navicent for treatment but died days later on October 20, 2021.

According to Deputy Coroner Ronnie Miley, the next of kin has been notified.
