The US Marshal’s Southeastern Regional Fugitive Task Force with the assistance of the Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies , arrested 28 year old Carey Kenneth Parrott Jr. Carey Parrott was apprehended at 5:30pm this evening at 2159 Canton Street. He is charged with 1 count of hijacking a motor vehicle. Parrott was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center. His bond has not been set.

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Makes One Arrest And Is Looking For Second Suspect In Carjacking Incident
Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to 2904 Shurling Drive, in reference to a carjacking around 10:55 a.m. Monday morning. Deputies met with the victim, Dante Jefferson. The victim stated he was in the parking lot of Dixie Mart when a black male who he recognized, approached his vehicle and asked to speak to him. Jefferson stated the male entered his vehicle on the passenger side and then brandished a handgun. Jefferson stated he then jumped from his vehicle leaving the suspect inside his 2008 Honda Accord. The victim was not injured during the incident.
Deputies placed a lookout for the stolen vehicle. The vehicle was spotted moments after the lookout by deputies near Millerfield Road. The deputies made an attempted to make a traffic stop on the vehicle. After turning onto Cone Road off of Millerfield Road, the occupant of the vehicle, identified as 28 year old Carey Parrott Jr., ran from the vehicle escaping capture. While deputies were still out on Cone Road talking to the victim, a black Honda Accord was seen in the area. This was the vehicle the suspect, Carey Parrott had drove up in when he took the victim’s car. Deputies made a traffic stop on the vehicle. The driver of the Honda was detained and identified as 27 year old Corey Parrott who is the brother of Carey Parrott. Corey Parrott was questioned by investigators and was charged with Hijacking a Motor Vehicle for his participation in the incident. He was transported to the Bibb Law Enforcement Center where he was booked for Hijacking a Motor Vehicle. He currently does not have a bond set.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is currently looking for Carey Parrott Jr. He is a black male, 5 feet 10 inches in height and weighs approximately 140 pounds.
