Bibb County Sheriff’s Patrol Deputies located a black female, 20 year old Shankeria Chasity Ray, who was a person of interest in the robbery and aggravated assault that occurred at the Budgetel Inn and Suites on Friday, June 19, 2015. Bibb Sheriff’s Investigators learned that the vehicle involved in the robbery was a light blue Mercury Marquis, driven by an unknown black female. A bolo was placed on the vehicle.
Deputies spotted a vehicle fitting the description of the suspect vehicle on Monday night, June 22, 2015. The person that was driving the vehicle told deputies the owner of the vehicle was Ray. On Wednesday night, June 24, 2015 deputies located Ray and transported her to the Bibb County Criminal Investigations Division for questioning. Ray was charged with robbery and aggravated assault. She was the driver of the vehicle on the night of the robbery. Ray is currently in the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center charged with robbery and aggravated assault. He bond is set at $18,900.00.
