The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office received information at around 2:45 p.m. today from the Georgia Department of Transportation on the Vineville Avenue Road closure. If all goes as to planned, according to the site supervisor, the repair should be completed tonight and the road should be opened up for traffic by 11:00 p.m. tonight.
Until the roadway is reopened, detour locations remain the same on Vineville Avenue. Inbound traffic on Vineville Avenue is being detoured at Desoto Place. Outbound traffic on Vineville Avenue is being detoured at Pionono Avenue.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office will keep everyone updated of any changes on the completion of repairs and reopening of Vineville Avenue.
