The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division received information Thursday leading them to the identity of the black male who was a person of interest in the sexual assault that occurred on Friday, December 11, 2015, near 660 North Avenue.
The male was identified as 23 year old David Lee Davis, of Macon. Davis met with investigators at the Criminal Investigations Division this afternoon to be interviewed about the incident. He was arrested and charged with rape at around 3:00PM. Davis was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center and booked on the charge. A bond has not been set for Davis at the present time.
