The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a pedestrian involved accident that took place on Eisenhower Parkway, near the intersection at Houston Avenue. The accident occurred at 7:10 a.m.
According to witness statements, a male driver was traveling east on Eisenhower Parkway, in the left lane of travel. The driver stated that he did not see the female until she stepped into the roadway. The female pedestrian, 35-year-old Madena L. Hargrove of Macon, was transported to the Navicent by ambulance for treatment. The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office was notified by Coroner Leon Jones that 35-year-old Madena L. Hargrove of Macon, was pronounced deceased at 3:45 p.m. The next of kin has been notified.
The male driver was not injured during the accident. No charges have been filed against driver. This accident is under investigation. Anyone with information in reference to accident is urged to contact the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500.
