The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an accident involving a pedestrian that occurred in the 1400 Block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
The accident took place at 6:20 p.m. It was reported that a 2005 Volvo S60 driven by 54-year-old Melissa Manus, was traveling on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., when a male, later identified as 25-year-old Brandon Mills, walked into the roadway and was struck by the vehicle. Mills was transported to the Navicent hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
No one else was injured during this accident. This incident is still under investigation.
