Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Deputies make over twenty arrests in connection with a Conspiracy to Commit a Felony Investigation.
On October 13, 2023, it was reported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office by representatives of Elite Pre-Settlement LLC., that their company had a large undisclosed amount of funds that was stolen by fraudulent means. It was further reported that multiple individuals, as part of a scheme led by a now former employee of the Ken Nugent Law Firm, 37-year-old Jennifer Croom Denton, made false settlement claims to obtain checks from Elite Pre-Settlement LLC. Those individuals then cashed those fraudulently obtained checks.
Twenty-two arrests have been made in the investigation. The investigation is ongoing and additional arrests may be made.
