The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office was notified by Deputy Coroner L. Stone that 26-year-old Tadarius Cornelius Williams, of Tennille GA, died from his wounds just before 3:00 p.m. Williams was shot on April 9, 2022, at 9:09 p.m. on Millerfield Road.
The suspect, 21-year-old De Shondre Octavious Liggins, of Macon, who was initially charged with Aggravated Assault will now be charged with Murder. He is being held without bond at this time.

Arrest Made in Shooting Incident at New Clinton Road and Millerfield Road
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting incident that occurred on New Clinton Road at Millerfield Road at 9:09 p.m.
It was initially reported that a Ford Focus, driven by a 26-year-old male, was traveling south on New Clinton Road at Millerfield Road, when the driver lost control. The vehicle rolled over onto its side. The driver was transported to the Atrium Health Navicent and is listed in critical condition at this time. Once the victim was examined at the hospital, it was discovered that he had been shot. No one else was injured during this incident.
Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigators questioned 21-year-old De Shondre Octavious Liggins, of Macon. He was later charged with Aggravated Assault and transported to the Bibb County jail. He is being held without bond at this time.
