The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an unidentified body, reported to be a white male, found on the Rail Road tracks near Poplar Street and Terminal Drive just before 11:00 a.m. Monday morning. The incident was called in by Norfolk Southern Railroad Company. When deputies arrived they discovered the body of a white male near the railroad tracks that had been struck by a train.
The male later identified as 46 yr. old Keith Daniel Loyd of Macon was pronounced dead on scene by Coroner Leon Jones. Loyd next of kin was notified by the coroner office.
