After further investigation, it was discovered that the 16-year-old victim in this incident was also involved in the death of 17-year-old Joseph Woolfolk. The 16-year-old identified as Jieyre Chavis-Moore, was taken into custody and transported to the RYDC and charged with murder. He is being charged as an adult.

Homicide Investigation On Winston Drive
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death that was reported in the 1600 block of Winston Dr. The incident was called in just before 10:30 p.m.
It was reported that a call of a person shot came into the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office call center. When deputies arrived on scene they found two male victims. The deceased male identified as 17-year-old Joseph Woolfolk of Macon, and a 16-year-old male victim, also from Macon. Woolfolk was pronounced deceased on the scene and the 16-year-old was transported to the Navicent hospital to receive treatment for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the leg.
Investigators are continuing to investigate the homicide in an attempt to determine the events surrounding this incident.
The next of kin was notified by Coroner Leon Jones. Additional information will be released as soon as it becomes available.
