The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Homicide incident that was reported to have occurred at Majestic Gardens Apartments at around 4:41 p.m.
It was reported that 18-year-old Marquavious Deshaun Wright and a 17-year old Deonte Hunt were wounded by gun fire. Just after the shooting, Hunt was able to make a call for help. Emergency medical personnel arrived on the scene to treat his injuries that were non-life threatening. Hunt was transported to Atrium Health Navicent by ambulance.
Wright was fatally wounded and pronounced deceased on the scene by the Bibb County Coroner’s Office. He was found by deputies inside an apartment. The next of kin has been notified.
Investigators are speaking to a person of interest at this time.
