The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a single vehicle fatal traffic collision that occurred around 12:49 p.m. Wednesday.
It was reported that a 50-year-old male of Macon, later identified as Omar Fagon, was driving a 2006 Honda Accord, eastbound on Lower Thomaston Road. Fagon vehicle went off road near the intersection of Lower Thomaston Road and Moseley Dixon Road and hit a utility pole.
First responders were able to remove Fagon from the vehicle. He was transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. No one else was injured in the collision. The next of kin has been notified by Deputy Coroner Luanne Stone.
